Anıl Emre is our partner in charge of transactions (cross-border and local) and international legal affairs. Mr. Emre is a leading practitioner in international EPC contracts and regularly advises market-leading Turkish companies in their projects around the world. Mr. Emre also advises local and foreign clients regarding the resolution of complex transactional disputes. Prior to joining Emre Legal, Anıl Emre was senior legal counsel at Enka Insaat ve Sanayi AS, one of the largest Turkish EPC contractors worldwide, handling cross-border contracts and international arbitration.
Mr. Emre has wide experience in drafting and negotiating EPC contracts directly with general counsels and leading executives of the largest energy/infrastructure companies in the world as well as concession agreements (Build-Operate, Build-Operate-Transfer basis) with ministers and high-level representatives of various governments.
Mr. Emre acts for both the employers and the contractors and provides services covering the whole lifespan of a project; starting from reviewing and commenting on the project documentation at pre-bid phase; drafting and negotiating JV/consortium/shareholders agreements with joint-bidders, and negotiating the prime EPC/project documentation with the employer.
Mr. Emre also regularly advises investors, landowners and contractors in connection with large-scale residential, office space and mixed use property developments in Turkey and represents his clients in disputes in connection with construction/real-estate projects.
